The Yoakum City Council has tabled a couple of requests made by Yoakum Emergency Medical Services at the April 9 meeting.

This past Sunday, Christians around the world celebrated Easter and Resurrection of Christ as many attended church services followed by family gatherings.
Rosie Joyce DeBord Klimitchek of Ezzell, age 88, passed away on Thursday, April 11, 2024.
She was born in Ezzell, a twin on April 14, 1935, to Louis E. and Anita Dawlearn DeBord.
James “Jim” Bujnoch was born on Aug. 30, 1944, in Hallettsville, to Jim and Jenovefa Bujnoch.
Jim passed away on April 13, 2024.
Patricia (Patsy) Marie Novosad, 61, of Shiner, entered into eternal rest Saturday, April 13, 2024.
