Shiner baseball: Comanches get redemption against Ganado
The Shiner Comanches officially split the district series with Ganado with a 6-1 win on Friday and defeated Schulenburg 6-1 on April 8.

Carson Schuette went 2-for-3, scoring three runs and hit a double as Shiner beat the Indians to reverse a 3-2 extra-innings loss earlier in the season.
The Comanches led 3-0 after one frame and 4-0 after two innings.
Shiner brought in two runs in the fourth and Schulenburg got its lone run during the sixth inning.
Charlie Clifford picked up the win with one run on three hits, three walks and three strikeouts in six innings pitched. Jake Simper worked one inning in relief.
Also for Shiner at the plate, Landyn Pohler was 1-for-3 with two runs; Bode Werner hit 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI; Kaidan Boothe was 1-for-4 with one RBI; Cale Shows was 1-for-4; Boe Boehm and Simper each went 1-for-3.

The Comanches opened up a scoreless game with four runs in the top of the third inning to complete the season sweep of the Shorthorns with a 6-1 win.
Both teams scored one run in the sixth square and Shiner added a run in the seventh inning.
Pohler earned the win for Shiner with one hit, one walk and seven strikeouts in five innings.
Boothe pitched two innings, one run on one hit, three walks and five strikeouts.
On the bats, Shows was 2-for-4 with run, RBI and double; Schuette hit 2-for-5 with one run; Clifford hit 1-for-4 with one run.
Boehm was 1-for-4 with two RBI; Werner, Boothe and Simper each added one run, one RBI:
