Hallettsville ISD superintendent, Dr. Jo Ann Bludau, was recently re-elected to her fourth term on the UIL Legislative Council for the term ending June 1, 2028.

Bludau is one of 32 superintendents across the state of Texas serving on the Council and was and was re-elected from the 49 superintendents in Region 4 of UIL. She currently serves on the policy and finance committees and served as the Chair of the UIL Legislative Council from 2021-2022.

Regarding her service on the Council, Dr. Bludau said, “It has been an honor and privilege to serve as the representative for school districts in the University Interscholastic League Conference AAA Region IV since 2011. During the past 13 years, I have also had the pleasure of interacting with superintendents from around the state of Texas, UIL staff members, Directors of Coaches Associations, and members of the music, athletics, and academic committees. All of these experiences have helped me to understand the importance of having our voices heard and making decisions that best serve the students in our communities.”
