Hallettsville High School will hold its 2024 Commencement Exercises Friday, May 24 beginning at 7:30 p.m. at the Hallettsville Brahmas Memorial Stadium.

In the event of inclement weather, the ceremony will be moved to the HHS Gymnasium

One hundred seniors are candidates for graduation and will hear from Dr. Jo Ann Bludau followed by the salutatory and valedictory addresses.

The Rotary Club Awards will be presented by Bludau, a representative of the club and sponsor of the Rotary Interact Club at the school.

The Valedictorian of the 2024 HHS graduating class is Macy Herring. Macy is the daughter of Doris and Dennis Herring Jr.

Macy has been an active member of many organizations including National Honor Society, Student Council, and Rotary Interact.

Throughout her high school career, she has loved many of the opportunities provided to her by the school. Her favorite was the opportunity was to play sports, especially basketball.

During her senior season, she reached two milestones of both 1,000 rebounds and 1,000 points.

Macy will also graduate from Hallettsville with a total of 21 college credit hours.

Macy plans to attend Texas A&M University in College Station after her graduation where she will major in oceanography.

The Salutatorian for the 2024 HHS graduating class is Kodie Bible. Kodie is the daughter of Shawn and Matt Bible.

She has been involved in FFA, 4H, National Honor Society, Rotary Interact, Student Government, Academic UIL, and the Hallettsville Brahma News Network.

She served as the president of the Class of 2024, High School Rotary Interact president, Hope 4H president, and Hallettsville FFA sentinel.

Kodie will attend Texas A&M University in College Station to major in Animal Science with the goal of becoming a veterinarian.

Her favorite part wof high school was being involved in many FFA competitions and Ag classes.

The HHS Honorary Graduate for 2024 is Lauren Lundy daughter of Robert and Heather Lundy.

Lauren has participated in a number of sports including swimming, golf, track and was also a cheerleader.

She served as the Hallettsville FFA President as well as an anchor for the Hallettsville Brahma News Network.

Additionally, she was a member of NHS, Quill and Scroll and Rotary Interact Club.

Lauren will be attending Baylor University where she plans to double major in Finance and Professional Selling.
