Mark Zimmerman will remain as mayor for the city of Moulton, voters decided Saturday.

That’s after facing off for the post with former councilman Donald Wagner for the city’s top elected post as the only contested race on the ballots.

Unofficial election returns showed Zimmerman winning the contest 92-47, with Zimmerman collecting 66.19% of the ballots cast. He had 57 votes in early voting, 8 absentee votes and 27 votes on election day.

Wagner walked away with 33.81% of the ballots cast, 28 early votes, 4 absentee votes and 15 votes on election day, according to unofficial election night returns.

Other uncontested races on the ballot showed Adam Nieto winning 114 votes for his post, Kelley Moeller collecting 96 votes for her post, and Roberta Mejias getting 120 votes for her post, unofficial election night returns showed.
