Loraine Anderson, 90, passed away April 17 in Waco.

A private graveside service will be held at Ridge Park Cemetery in Hillsboro, and there will be a visitation for family and friends at 10 a.m. April 27 at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home in Waco.

Loraine M. Sandelowitz Anderson was born Aug. 5, 1933, in rural Yoakum. She is the daughter of Samuel Anton Sandelowitz, and Victorie D. Jahn Sandelowitz. Loraine spent her formative years, and graduated from Yoakum High School, class of 1950. She continued her education and gradutated from Durham's Business School in San Antonio. After working for several businesses as a secretary and bookkeeper, she married Billy C. Anderson at Randolph Air Force base in San Antonio, Sept. 12, 1953.

Loraine has been a dedicated member of various Baptist churches as well as an active member of the Women's Missionary Union. She has been a member of First Woodway Baptist Church since 1991.

Loraine was preceded in death by her husband, Billy C. Anderson; her parents, Samuel Anton Sandelowitz, and Victorie D. Jahn Sandelowitz; and sisters, Rose Haley, Helen Grossman (husband Frank) and Margaret L'hommedieu (husband Bob).

She is survived by her sons, Chuck Anderson (wife Cindy), Russell Anderson (wife Kathy); her granddaughters, Amanda White (husband Randy), Samantha Stauffer (husband Will) and Amy Anderson; Loraine is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
