The Hallettsville 10U All Stars came from one game down in the best-of-three to defeat Seguin 18-8 and clinch the District 31 championship here Monday night. No particulars were received from this game.

Hallettsville forced a third game with an 8-2 victory here Sunday night.

Katelynn Newhouse pitched a one-hitter and struck out 10 with four walks. At one point in the game she retired seven batters in a row.

Hallettsville trailed 2-1 entering its last at bat in the sixth inning before rallying for seven runs on three hits, five walks and an error.

Jaedyn Grahmann led off with a base on balls. After an out, Newhouse walked and Kasie Davis was safe on an error to score Grahmann. Haley Hartensteiner delivered a runscoring single followed by walks to Heidi Rother and Selena Garcia. Brynadee Etzler came up with a single to right field to score two runs.

The first Hallettsville run was scored in the initial inning. Grahmann walked with two outs.

Prior to the sixth inning, Hallettsville stranded eight baserunners before breaking through.
