Court approves county road plan

The Lavaca County Commissioners’ Court met in a regular meeting Wednesday morning, May 29 and approved a county road plan that includes future paving of roads.

At Monday’s Lavaca County Commissioners’ Court meeting, the court declared the week of May 19-25 as Emergency Medical Services Week. Court declares May 19-25 as Emergency Medical Services Week

The Lavaca County Commissioners’ Court met in a regular meeting Monday morning and declared the week of May 19 through 25 as Emergency Medical Service (EMS) Week.

A large group of members belonging to various organizations and agencies who assist in helping children and families of child abuse were present at Monday’s Lavaca County Commissioners’ Court meeting. During the meeting the court designated April as Child Abuse Prevention Month. According to the proclamation read by County Judge Keith Mudd at the meeting, approximately 270,000 children in Texas, and 162 Lavaca County children were reported as victims of child abuse in 2023.
